On Friday, July 22nd, the Central St. Croix Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the new ReStore -St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity location with a ribbon cutting. They are located at 801 Wagner Drive in Roberts across from Dollar General. The St. Croix Valley store opened their New Richmond location in April 2010 and recently moved to Roberts opening in May 2016. They serve the St. Croix Valley area including Roberts, Hudson, and New Richmond. There is another ReStore location in River Falls. ReStore Roberts became a chamber member this summer.
ReStore is a lot like the “Goodwill” of home goods. The money they raise from their sales goes into the Habitat for Humanity organization. Community members, contractors, remodelers and suppliers can donate everything from furniture, light fixtures, doors, hardware, patio furniture and so many other things. They currently have many chairs, dressers and file cabinets from businesses and universities because of remodel projects where they got new replacement furniture. They have surprisingly filled the old Hackman store with everything from bolts to even a boat! It’s a perfect place to shop, saving you money on your home projects.
If you have an item to donate, and have questions, please contact them at 715-760-3456. They are currently open Tuesday to Friday 10am-6pm and Saturdays from 10am – 3pm.
